Exhibted at a two person show and excerpt from the essay, "Softly, softly, catchee monkey".
"I would like to call on my allies to truly recognize the violent history of America and understand their own implications when they choose to render an ethnic group, our own allies, invisible. Our refusal to acknowledge our own omission not only advances the white agenda but also damages every minority and us, because we are playing the same assigned trope and political propaganda of the model minority. The practice to self-determination starts with the fundamental idea that everyone’s liberties are intertwined; we are bound together and therefore, let us work together1."
Note. Lila Watson: "If you have come here to help me, you are wasting your time. But if you have come because your liberation is bound with mine, then let us work together."
